UPDATED January 3rd! WOW! I found some things that work for me, and in my house, and are not going to Kill Me! Alleluia!!! A little background: I am a VERY hyper sensitive person to any chemicals, fragrances, and especially the usual things found in household and personal care products... A month ago I was elated to find a new source of household products and personal care products that actually work and do not make me sick! I know this may sound silly to be excited to be able to clean house... or what I use to take a bath... but I am EXCITED! I thought the whole idea of a company with such great products had to be bogus that it took me EIGHT YEARS after I first heard about it before I really looked at it... or even tried a single product! The idea was to simply change out the old products in my home for safer greener ones, get more for my money, keep control on my budget by shopping from home, and if I wanted I could earn guaranteed money to pay for my own products by referring others through Consumer Direct Marketing. What I did not expect was products so great that even I could actually USE them!!!!! I used to use other natural remedies that I would find or make but their overall performance was poor at best. I became so disgusted that when I did resort to using caustic and highly toxic cleaners in my bathroom because I could not take the grime and filth anymore, I ended up vomiting and would have debilitating migraines for days and the tough scum and rust were still there anyway. Not anymore :) I have used so many shampoos labeled "safe and natural" only to be left with headaches, rashes, and nausea after using them. I found I couldn't even tolerate regular baby shampoo and then discovered the reason why... Most popular baby shampoos contain a form of formaldehyde! That made me sick in more ways than one! And we use that on our precious babies? No wonder the morticians say they need so much less embalming fluid to preserve our bodies than 30 years ago! We are half pickled before we die from all the formaldehyde we are exposed to starting as infants! So when I find something that works and doesn't make me sick, you better believe that I am going to share it because I know there are other people searching like me, and if I can give just one person an option out of the chemicals, it is worth it! I have tried so many laundry soaps and have had to rotate among the least offenders so my skin isn't irritated. I do not wear make-up because I don't want to risk the swollen eyes and rashes I have experienced in the past. I found options there as well for my daughters. Obviously, use of chemically offensive products are not good for my health, or anyone else's. But it begs the question, how many things do we unknowingly use, touch, taste, smell, or somehow come in contact with every day that are so highly toxic that years from now they will be pulled from the market? Let me share my story... 14 years ago, I was diagnosed with an extremely rare from of lymphoma. Here I was, a 34 year old mother of five young children from ages 2 to 12, facing a death sentence against a cancer with no known or proven conventional treatment. The doctors were flabbergasted how I developed something so rare and so young when the majority of cases were seen in mainly people older than 60, and mainly men. Many older farmers develop similar type cancers. The answer to how or why was... When I was a little girl growing up on the farm I LOVED to play in the nice washed sand... The really soft sand where my dad rinsed out all his spray tanks for the chemicals sprayed on the crops. Chemicals that at the time where deemed so safe that the salesmen would actually drink them! Sadly those salesmen are long since dead from cancer, so is my dad... I luckily took my life, health, and future into my own hands and did everything I could to reclaim my health and create as healthy an environment as I could and I consistently look for positive ways to improve my own health, life, and that of my family and others. There have been a few additional challenges along the way, like a stroke in 2001, but all of this has made me adamant about finding the safest way to live. I don't want to use anything that unnecessarily stresses my body or threatens my health. This personal history is why you will not find chemicals in our gardens or fields either, and I was constantly on the search for the best and safest products! I am excited to find a wonderful option for myself and family, and I am sharing them with others who are looking for ways to create a healthier world around them.
